Utbrottet av SDA i England har varit ett faktum i flera månader nu. Men trots utställnings stop mm så sprids det fortfarande. Nyligen har Irland gått ut med varningar och uppmuntran till försiktighet.För oss att tänka på, Inga importer!!

Det som skrivs är;

There is a very nasty bout of SDAV going around in UK now… and has been for some
time. I don't think it's made it over here yet, but it's very important that
everyone is vigilant, as this is a terrible thing to pass on to other rat owners. Be
incredibly careful about buying rats, looking after rats etc… when a bout starts
it seems to take a while to stop…

There's some worry that it may be present in the wild rats in UK at the moment too -
so please, take extra care when you've been anywhere where wild rats may be.

Getting new rats is a bad idea if you think there's any risk, because quarantine is
essentially useless - it can be carried on clothing etc - and keeping a rat in a
room separate is just not enough.

I hope no-one gets this problem - if you do think you may have a problem like this -
please post here ,as we need to know about it and watch for its spread."
